.Net Architect
DMT is seeking an experienced .Net Architect. The .Net Architect will draw upon their previous years of industry knowledge and software development expertise in order to understand technical requirements and extract architecturally significant requirements from them. By synthesizing solutions, exploring alternatives, and validating them, .Net Architects make important choices that will have long term impacts.
The position involves...
- Design and implementation of enterprise-level software, optimizing key system attributes such as performance, security, scalability and availability
- Communication of solutions/ideas to technical and non-technical audiences, in a confident and credible manner
- Modeling and documentation of complex system components and interactions
- Understanding and extending of our application framework, libraries and shared systems
- Participation in project planning activities to assess technical risks, determine mitigation strategies, and articulate appropriate delivery iterations
- Solving problems creatively, either independently or within a team environment while aligning business needs with the technical solution
- Developing standards and researching tools, trends, technologies and processes in order to maximize team effectiveness and productivity
- Strong application of code re-use and refactoring strategies
- Coaching and mentoring other technologists, including delivering technology presentations, providing architectural guidance, and conducting code reviews
Our ideal candidate...
- Possesses a University Degree or College Diploma in an applicable field
- Is a leader and mentor with a proven track record
- Has led large software development endeavors of 10+ developers
- Possesses 7+ years experience, 3 in a .Net development capacity
- Demonstrates strong object oriented design and UML modeling of complex systems and components
- Possesses excellent database design, normalization and optimization experience with large volumes of data
- Has experience analyzing/tuning performance of a highly transactional website, utilizing load/stress testing and profiling tools and methodologies
- Is a leader in various tools and technologies, including ASP.Net, Visual Studio, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML, Web Services, AJAX, and SQL Server
- Is well versed in industry patterns and best practices
- Possesses deep understanding of underlying popular Internet protocols, browser and server technologies
- Is experienced with version control systems such as CVS or Subversion
- Is knowledgeable of various formal development and delivery methodologies and frameworks including Agile, RUP, Zachman, and IE
- Optionally, has experience in IT Service Management (ITSM) and/or COBIT environments
