DMT helps deliver a revolutionary message for new Fisker Automotive
WINNIPEG (August 31, 2011) – One of the world’s newest automobile companies has drawn on the talents of one of the world’s most experienced digital communication firms to provide it a multi-language voice with which to speak to the world.
Fisker Automotive, maker of the world’s first ultra-exotic electric luxury automobile, called on DMT Development Systems Group Inc. to create a multi-faceted on-line gateway that tells its compelling environmental, performance and design story, helps interested buyers to find a dealer and configure a car, and deliver news to the world’s media – in five languages.
Founded in 2007, Fisker first showed its eye-popping concept for a hybrid plug-in electric luxury performance car in 2008 and is now selling the 2012 Karma model in Europe and the US – an impossibly fast time for product development in the automobile world. With its head office and a new manufacturing facility under construction in the US, a plant in Finland and development centres in Germany and China, Fisker has quickly taken centre stage in the fast-moving world of hybrid vehicle development and manufacture.
The company’s site (http://www.fiskerautomotive.com/) was created by DMT, of Winnipeg, as a single source of information for the growing industry, consumer and media interest in the young company. Consumers can configure a model from a selection of interior trims with environmentally sustainable sources, exterior colours and other details, locate a dealer throughout North America and Europe, stay in touch with the company via social media, and contact numerous departments within the company. Media can use the same site to stay abreast of corporate and product developments.
The site draws on DMT’s experience providing consumer, media and dealer information for some of the world’s most respected automobile companies, distilled into a single system that serves a global market.
“In a way, the design of the site reflects Fisker’s simplified approach to automotive design, and its emphasis on innovation and performance,” says Glen Demetrioff, president of DMT. “It is a simple, streamlined and innovative site that speaks to the world in five languages, but which depends on the sophistication gained from a lifetime of experience.”
DMT serves global and Canadian-based auto manufacturers and their dealers with specialized and sophisticated systems that share information among companies, dealers and customers while improving lead management, customer relations management and their related business processes. A privately held company, DMT has posted double digit growth since its inception and employs more than 75 people at its headquarters on the campus of the University of Manitoba. Additional customer service personnel work directly with the clients in their locations. The company will open an office in Paris this year.
