Veteran Randy Price named VP as DMT drives growth with eastern office

WINNIPEG (January 3, 2012) – Randy Price, a seasoned sales and marketing professional with deep roots in the auto industry, will anchor a new eastern office for DMT Development Systems Group Inc. and shoulder responsibility for sales and marketing for the growing company, DMT president Glen Demetrioff has announced.

Price, 43, will join DMT as vice president responsible for sales and marketing, effective January 16, 2012.

Experienced in both the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and aftermarket aspects of the industry, Price has held increasingly responsible positions with companies providing both products and services to the auto industry and auto dealers in Canada.

Price will lead a new DMT office expected to open in the Metro Toronto area in the first quarter of 2012, Demetrioff said. Office location and staffing details will be announced early in the new year.

The Toronto office is the second new DMT office announced in the past year. A new office to serve clients in Europe opened in Paris in October. But the company has no intention of moving its headquarters from its current location in Winnipeg, said Demetrioff. “Our close proximity to, and good working relationship with, computer science resources at the University of Manitoba make this a natural headquarters for the company and a central location from which to service global markets.”

“Our business has grown exponentially in Europe and the U.S., and we see new opportunities in Asia,” explained Demetrioff, “yet Canada remains a strong and diversified market for us. We have close relationships with both OEMs and dealers here, and supporting our clients with sales and customer service from a base in the heart of the Canadian auto industry makes sound business sense. Randy is a natural anchor for our new Canadian office as well leading an expanding sales initiative for markets beyond Canada.”

DMT serves global and Canadian-based auto manufacturers and their dealers with specialized and sophisticated systems that share information among companies, dealers and customers while improving lead management, customer relations management and their related business processes. A privately held company, DMT has posted double digit growth since its inception and employs more than 75 people at its headquarters on the campus of the University of Manitoba. Additional customer service personnel work directly with the clients in their locations.
